On April 30, 2008, the Riley County Police Department, in conjunction with the Pottawatomie County Sheriff's Office and the Kansas Bureau of Investigation executed a total of nine search warrants at multiple addresses throughout Manhattan, resulting in the arrest of 10 individuals. (Read that story here) At that time it was noted that more arrests would occur. As a part of this continuing investigation, the Riley County Police Department, again with the assistance of the Pottawatomie County Sheriff's Office, executed a search warrant at 1009 Gardenway in the early morning hours of May 30, 2008. The following individuals were arrested during this portion of the investigation:

Shannon L Bryant (6-20-77), 742 W. 1st Street, Junction City, Kansas

Arrested for:

• Sale of Cocaine
• Conspiracy to Distribute Cocaine
• Possession of Cocaine with the Intent to Distribute
• Unlawful Acquisition of Drug Proceeds
• Aggravated Endangering of a Child
• No Kansas Drug Tax Stamp

Bond $40,000

Anthony D. Roberts (3-22-81), 1009 Gardenway, Manhattan, Kansas

Arrested for:

• Possession of Cocaine with the Intent to Distribute
• Conspiracy to Distribute Cocaine
• Unlawful Acquisition of Drug Proceeds
• No Kansas Drug Tax Stamp

Bond $30,000

Beauyett Young (11-29-80), 3323 Anderson, Manhattan, Kansas

Arrested for:

• Possession of Cocaine with the Intent to Distribute
• Conspiracy to Distribute Cocaine
• No Kansas Drug Tax Stamp

Bond $20,000

John C Parish (9-1-82), 230 W. Chestnut, Junction City, Kansas

Arrested For:

• Sale of Cocaine
• Aggravated Endangering of a Child

Bond $6,000

At the time of this press release, only all remained confined on bond.

Seized during these arrests and the search warrant were a significant amount of cocaine, cash, and two vehicles. As a direct result of this ongoing investigation, the best available information indicates that the local supply of illegal drugs, particularly cocaine, has been severely limited. Consequently, more illegal drugs are being brought into Manhattan from outside sources. The Riley County Police Department will continue to work with neighboring jurisdictions to attack this problem, and this on going investigation will produce further arrests. The public is encouraged to continue to assist in this effort by providing information about the sale and distribution of illegal drugs.
