Voting early works better for many
Some folks thought an early trip to the polls would help them avoid the line.
Here's the line, but it's not November 5th. Some folks thought an early trip to the polls would help them avoid the line.
"Not very long, but it's really exciting that there's so many people out today," early voter Tara Schroeder said.
That excitement kept anxiety at bay while folks waited in line.
"I just got here 30 minutes ago. The lines are moving pretty good," Charlesella Smith said. "I think it's great. It's great for people, gives you more flexiblity."
Others say it's not about avoiding lines.
"I don't know if it has any advantages except for convenience...but that means a lot," Michael Kesel said. "I'm not sure, but I've got today off so I've got some time to kill."
Most were just grateful to have the opportunity to make their voice heard.
"I think this is definitely a moment in history our generation has not seen before...The stakes are higher," Jeffrey Terrell said.
