The Topeka city manager interviews for a new job.
Norton Bonaparte is one of five candidates interviewing for the position of Wichita city manager.
He was in Wichita today meeting with the Wichita City Council and the Citizens Search Committee.
Bonaparte also had to answer questions from the media and citizens.
And, he believes his experience in Topeka could help him, if offered the job.
"I think that knowing the state is important and knowing what the people, what the state are like. The people of Kansas are in fact very hospitable, it is the Midwest hospitality that I think makes Wichita such a wonderful city," Bonaparte said.
The four other candidates will also go through the same two part interview process this week.
Only one other candidate currently lives in the state.
