Thousands want to save the band
K-State's band director says they got 7,000 calls and emails from people who want to see the band continue.
Thousands of people want to save the K-State Marching Band.
Last night, we told you about a plan that would phase out the band's funding in three years.
When word of that spread, K-State's band director says they got 7,000 calls and emails from people who want to see the band continue.
Student and university leaders held a meeting this morning to brainstorm new sources of funding.
Right now, the band is paid for by a student privilege fee, but the Student Government Association thinks the money should come from someplace else.
