Watch the debate on ABC
KTKA 49 ABC will be airing the presidential debate. It begins at 9 p.m. Tuesday. Tune in then to get more aware of where the candidates stand on the issues.
John McCain's poll numbers have dropped along with the Dow Jones.
Now, his campaign is turning the page on the economy and turning to Palin to attack.
"Okay now. The heels are on, the gloves come off," Palin said.
Palin continues her charge that Barack Obama has been "palling around with terrorists."
"I'm afraid this is someone who thinks America is imperfect enough to work with a former domestic terrorist," she said.
Palin questioned Obama's patriotism due to his association with this man, Bill Ayers, a Chicago professor who was once a member of a group the FBI called a domestic terrorist organization.
SOT Obama "They plan to, and I quote, turn the page on the discussion about our economy, and spend the final weeks of this campaign launching Swift Boat-style attacks on me," Obama said.
Obama also realizes sometimes the best defense is a good offense.

Going along with the McCain campaign's "guilt-by-association" philosophy, the Obama campaign reminds voters in a new Web documentary that, back in the '80s, McCain was one of the so-called "Keating 5," five members of Congress accused of corruption as part of the larger Savings and Loan crisis of the late 1980s.
Even before the second Presidential debate, national polls show McCain eight points behind Obama.

Why no mention of the Palins' anti-American political connections? Sarah's worked with the Alaska Independence Party for many years, with her husband as a registered member and herself as an "operative" posing as a Republican to infiltrate government. I'm not making this stuff up; you can listen to their Vice Chairman spell it out on video:
"Our current governor, we mentioned at the last conference, the one we were hoping would get elected, Sarah Palin, did get elected... to get along and go along — she eventually joined the Republican Party"

Their party's anti-American founder said things like "The fires of Hell are glaciers compared to my hate for the American government".
Palin's opinion? "Keep up the good work!"

Can we really afford to have someone with these hateful ties in the second most powerful position in the country?
