The stage is nearly set in Nashville for the second presidential debate.

Tuesday night's town hall will feature questions on the financial crisis. However, on a day where the Dow dipped below 10,000 points, both candidates are already laying out their financial talking points, which include attacks on their opponent.

A new ABC News/Washington Post poll shows Obama now has the edge in Ohio, yet another key battleground state when it comes to the economy.

Hence, the McCain campaign's efforts to turn the focus onto the Democrat's character. At back to back rallies, Sarah Palin accused Obama of having ties to former Weather Underground radical Bill Ayres.

"I'm afraid this is someone who thinks America is imperfect enough to work with a former domestic terrorist who targeted his own country," Palin said.

Obama battled back with new negative television ads, highlighting McCain's role in the Keating Five.

"Fraud. It's the creation of trust, and then betrayal..."

The ads feature the savings and loan scandal of the late 80's in which McCain, along with four other Congressmen, were accused of corruption and political favors.

The new poll also shows Obama leads with three voter groups in Ohio: young voters, new voters and Independents.

However, pollsters caution, Independents could break for McCain again within the next few weeks.
