Crab grass growth is in its decline, or so it seems. This annual plant has begun its seeding process. So, while it looks like it's dying in your lawn, it is most likely sowing the seeds for more crab grass to come in the spring.

Ask the 49 Garden Expert!
Whether you are an experienced gardener or a novice, KTKA and Jackson's Greenhouse wants to make it more fulfilling for you.
49 Garden Expert Dave Jackson recommends Ferti-lome All Seasons Lawn Food Plus Crabgrass Preventer with Barricade, which will combat crab grass and chickweed.
“It’s all about planning ahead," Jackson said.
Dandelions are also making their growth spurt right now. Their roots are growing underneath the surface, which can cause large patches of this yellow weed in your lawn come spring.
Jackson suggests using Ferti-lome Weed-Out Broadleaf Weed Killer and Ferti-lome Weed Free Zone Plus Fertilzer.
