Kansas ranks 36th in the nation when it comes to home foreclosures.
Today the governor said it's a situation she's watching closely.
Gov. Kathleen Sebelius says the housing market in Kansas has stayed pretty steady, unlike other states that had a big boom in home sales and then a massive crash.
Still, the slow housing market and increasing number of foreclosures is affecting Kansans.
"It is more difficult for people to get mortgages the market is slowed down a bit, but we are not seeing the dramatic level of foreclosures," she said.
She also mentioned that August revenue for the state is up, but they're still monitoring the state's cash flow very carefully.
