Though it may not have looked like it, a competitive truck rodeo held this weekend prepared soldiers for Iraq and Afghanistan.
Soldiers were given different driving tests, like driving 20 mph, and then stopping as close as they could to this tape.
Officials measured from the bumper to the tape, and kept track of everyone's scores.
They even showed 49 News how to fire up one of the big trucks.
"The skills that they are learning here are very relevant that they learn in the private industry a lot of them are truck drivers, but also what they will use if they get deployed overseas," Col. Ken Jones, with the 800th Logistics Support Brigade, said.
Sunday is the last day for the event. Awards will be given out to the soldiers with highest scores.
