Judge sentences Topeka man to 12 years for robbing McDonalds
3:10 p.m. Tuesday, September 23, 2008
A 54-year-old Topeka man who robbed a McDonalds restaurant will spend 151 months in federal prison.
Randall Wayne Thomas pleaded guilty in May to one count of armed robbery. In his plea, he admitted that in 2006 he and co-defendant Tramaine Beadles, 25, Topeka, planned to rob the McDonald’s restaurant at 3530 N.W. 36th St. in Topeka, where Beadles was an employee.
On Oct. 22, 2006, Thomas committed the robbery. Afterwards, he gave Beadles a share of the stolen money.
Beadles pleaded guilty to the robbery and other crimes. In April, he was sentenced to 55 months.
