Topekan suffers life-threatening injuries during home invasion

A man recovers in the hospital today after being taken in with life-threatening injuries resulting from a home invasion.

Police say the beating appears to be the only motive for the break-in at 716 SW Polk.

George McFarland, 50, of Topeka, and Glen Morris, 49 of Wichita, were arrested in connection with this crime, which is still under investigation. They were booked into jail on charges of aggravated burglary and aggravated battery.

The incident occurred shortly before 11 p.m. Tuesday.
