49 Storm Team Forecast: Snow Arrives By Late Afternoon

Most of the day will be spent cold and cloudy, but winter weather advisories have been posted in anticipation of an accumulating snow getting underway later.

Winter Weather Advisories have been posted along/south of I-70, but the entire area will see snow by tonight.

There's generally more confidence that a band of light to moderate snow will develop within the "winter weather advisory" area by later this afternoon, with areas north more than likely following suit by later tonight. Highs will be around the 20 degree mark with an ENE wind of 10-15 mph. Snow continues overnight tonight with lows in the middle teens. By tomorrow morning, we're looking at 1-3" just about areawide with 2-4" along and southeast of the turnpike. Snow comes to an end by Tuesday late morning, and we'll see gradual clearing with highs in the lower 20s. Overnight lows in the single digits.

For Wednesday.... Partly cloudy with highs in the lower 30s.... Overnight lows in the upper teens.

Keep it here to 49 News for the latest on this minor snowstorm.
