Missing child in Topeka reunited with mother

A 5 year-old boy has been reunited with his mother.

Police found the child wandering near Munson and Lane at 4:50 a.m. Thursday morning.

The child was then taken to Juvenile Intake as a Child In Need of Care (CINC).

After police learned that the boy's name was Connor, they reached out to media outlets for help. A woman then called inquiring if this was her child.

Initial police reports indicate the child was being watched by a babysitter when he went missing.

Police are continuing to investigate.
