A former Kansas University professor is at the center of a campus theft investigation, KU police said Thursday.
Police would not identify the ex-professor, who is suspected of stealing two laptop computers from the university's pharmacology and toxicology department. No arrests have been made.
"The investigation is just now beginning," said Capt. Schuyler Bailey, KU Public Safety Office spokesman.
A police report said the professor failed to return the computers to Malott Hall, 1251 Wescoe Hall Drive, upon his resignation. The incident, which was reported to police Wednesday, allegedly occurred March 31.
