A Severe Thunderstorm Watch until 11pm for Brown, Clay, Cloud, Doniphan, Marshall, Nemaha, Republic and Washington counties. Strong storms have been building up with the heating of the day in the northern counties. Each storm is moving northeast. The strongest storms may produce hail, as well as gusty winds.
Another round of storms is expected as the cold front slides south through the area on Tuesday. Highs will top out near 80 before the front, then struggle to near 70 on Wednesday.
Mild, dry weather is expected for Thursday and Friday before more warmth and more unsettled weather for the upcoming weekend.
