Motorcycle death in Shawnee County

Tuesday evening at 9:25pm Shawnee County Sheriff's deputies were called to a motorcycle accident at 7300 SW Burlingame Road.

The motorcycle was headed south on Burlingame road when it left the road and went into the west ditch, then hit a culvert.

The driver was treated at the scene and taken to to Stormont-Vail Hospital with life-threatening injuries.

He was later pronounced dead by hospital staff.

Shawnee County Sheriff's deputies have identified the victim as Raymond A. Moresco, 60, of Carbondale, Kan.

The accident is still under investigation.
