The IRS Taxpayer Assistance Center in Topeka will be open Saturday, March 21, 2009, during 'Super Saturday' to provide free tax help to area residents.
The IRS recognizes that many area taxpayers may be facing financial hardships and need extra help this filing season.
IRS employees will go the extra mile on Super Saturday to assist area taxpayers with the following services:
*Preparing basic tax returns for those who qualify for EITC or those whose income is less than $42,000
*Resolving tax issues
*Answering tax law questions
*Making account adjustments
*Accepting payments
*Establishing payment agreements for those who cannot pay taxes in full
*Working with people having a hard time paying
*Providing tax forms and information about e-file which can save time necessary to receive refunds
The office will be open Saturday, March 21, 2009 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at 4 Townsite Plaza, Suite 200, 120 S.E. Sixth Ave., Topeka, KS
