The Jayhawk Area Agency on Aging helps retirees understand the government benefits they are entitled to.

Seniors with questions about Medicare or Social Security had a place to go for answers today. Once each month, the Jayhawk Area Agency on Aging holds a question and answer session for seniors. Officials say most of the questions relate to a couple of areas of concern.

"Mostly people when they retire just want to know 'what do we do,what do I do?' Do I call Medicare? So I call Social Security? And that's kind of what we're doing is consolidating all of that together and giving them answers to those questions," said Pamela Brown, with the agency.

The Jayhawk Area Agency on Aging holds these Q&A's the 4th Thursday of every month.
