Hopes are fading for an imminent release of any of the Americans held in Haiti and accused of trying to take 33 children out of the country.
ABC and CNN are reporting that all 10 were formally charged today with kidnapping and criminal association, and the group has been returned to their jail cells at police headquarters.
Earlier today, it appeared an agreement may be reached in which nine members of the group, including a Topeka man, might be allowed to return home.
Drew Culberth, 34, is a full-time Topeka fireman and a part-time youth pastor at Bethel Baptist Church.
Members of the church group, most from Idaho, insist they were only trying to rescue young quake victims.

Edwin Coq says the Americans also are charged with criminal association. The 10 appeared in court Thursday and were whisked away to a jail in Haiti's capital of Port-au-Prince.
Coq attended the session and has represented the group Port au Prince.
In Topeka, Pastor James Keller of Bethel Baptist Church, where Culberth serves as part-time youth pastor, called today's events 'disappointing.'
Greg Bailey of the Topeka Fire Department, where Culberth serves as a firefighter, said the department is continuing to monitor Culberth's situation.
