Fort Riley — Soldiers and family members with the 4th Squadron, 4th Cavalry Regiment, 1st Heavy Brigade Combat Team, 1st Infantry Division, will posthumously award Master Sgt. (Ret.) Marion D. Deshon the Purple Heart for valorous service during World War II.
Deshon’s family will accept the Purple Heart on his behalf at 10 a.m. March 26 at St. Mary’s Chapel, Fort Riley.
