Tune in to 49 News July 20 for stories that were a part of a local effort called Oprah's Big Give: Topeka. The Oprah Winfrey Show's involvement is now over, but Topeka's efforts are not. Tune in at 6 to view profiles of five families community volunteers helped out. How they gave a lift to their lives.

Oprah's Big Give gave money to individuals and businesses with the hopes of them turning it into more money all in the name of philanthropy. Topeka did that, with the help of KTKA 49 News and hundreds of volunteers. Learn more about the national campaign at Abc.go.com.
