Katherine Cook's life moves on
With the help of family members and therapists 5-year-old Katherine Cook is recovering from a gunshot wound. Her days are full with kindergarten and physical therapy sessions.

Linwood Elementary kindergartner Katherine Cook colors an assignment alongside her para, Lynne Stallbaumer, and classmate Sawyer Delana Wednesday, Oct. 1, 2008. In February Katherine was struck in the head by a bullet while playing outside her Linwood home. The bullet remains lodged in her skull and will not be removed because of the potentially more harmful risks involved with the procedure.
