What are some ways to keep cats out of Christmas trees? -- Jerry, Topeka

Jerry, This is always a concern with the new tree in the house. It brings out the curiousity of all that see it. Make sure that it is secure so it does not fall over when played with or climbed in. Place in a playpen or if you have a smaller tree, place it up higher to avoid contact. Place a scat mat to discourage activity. Plastics and foil cna be used too. Place the ornaments higher on the tree. That may not attact as much either. Thank you, Dr. Trupp
