Christine Killimayer
KTKA Sports Anchor, August 2007 - May 2008
Christine comes to Northeast Kansas from Western Pennsylvania. A native of Latrobe, Pa., she graduated from Ohio University’s E.W. Scripps School of Journalism in March of 2007 with a degree in broadcast news.
During her time at Ohio, Christine reported and anchored for WOUB, the PBS affiliate for southeast Ohio, and served as sports director. She also reported for Gridiron Glory, an Emmy-award winning high school football highlight show, and hosted Bobcat Blitz, Ohio University’s coach’s show. While hosting Bobcat Blitz, Christine covered the Bobcats’ run to the MAC Championship Game and the GMAC Bowl. Christine also had the privilege of working as a sideline reporter for ESPNU.
Christine is thrilled to be working in an area with such an amazing sports scene, especially considering basketball and football, at all levels, are two of her biggest passions.
When she’s not getting to know the teams and athletes in and around Topeka, Christine stays busy rooting on her Steelers, Panthers, Pirates, and Penguins, working out, and reading the latest issue of Sports Illustrated.
