Keith Miles

Photo of Keith Miles

Keith Miles came to 49 ABC News from KSNT to be the morning photographer.
Keith was born and raised in Topeka. After graduating from Topeka High School, Keith went to Chillicothe, Ohio to attend sound school. There, he learned how to record bands and edit sound for picture. During one of the lectures the instructors talked about doing audio for newscasts. That perked his interest in news.

So, when Keith got back to Kansas, he applied for a production assistant position at KSNT and stayed there for two years. While there he learned how to operate studio cameras, run audio, assistant direct, and do some commercial production. Keith also learned how to edit video for the newscasts and shoot the stories. That is when he knew he wanted to a photographer.

Keith says there is something special about going out among the people and getting their side of the story through the lens of a video camera. Being a photographer is always different and always a challenge, and Keith enjoys it thoroughly.
