Nate Riggs is a news photographer for the 49 News Team.

Born and raised in Overland Park, Kansas, Nate received his Bachelor of Arts Degree in Film Studies at the University of Kansas in 2008. A one-time intern at Free State Studios in Lawrence, he jumped at the chance to become a photographer and learned to cover breaking news and severe weather as a member of the 49 News Team.

Nate enjoys freelance video projects, movies, concerts, traveling and time spent with friends and loved-ones. He can often be seen in and around Lawrence.
