This is a drop in the bucket for what these people need- and there are about 500 more families here just like them. Oprah means well but with billions like she has, why not give something that will make an impact.

Get real Shannen- that was a known drug and party house. All the neighbors said they had drugs, kids and guns in the house. They used to stand out on the deck and fire the guns. When you pull a gun on anybody, especially a cop, you better plan on him shooting you. Wake up.

The only issues the union has brought to light is they are a bunch of whiners who want to run things their way. There is LABOR and there is management. You can't have it both ways. Do the work, that's what you get paid for and that's what people want you to do, not try to manage it your way. Your good old boy system is dead.

And Sylvia Ortiz needs to put a sock in it- how many of her relatives are on the fire department?

Does journalistic integrity mean anything to you at all? The money from the fund cannot be committed by this council on future councils. This council approved money to pay for the new helicopter when they approve the budget!
